Nothing is not Nothing
Hello Again,
In our fast-paced, what-are-we-going-to-do-for-fun-today-to-make-us-happy world, we, in the land of so much (maybe too much in my book) forget that nothing can be a blessing.
Life, in many respects, especially in poor countries, is filled with mostly nothing. Nothing to eat, nothing to hope for, and nothing they can do about it. Sometimes I wonder if they’re better off. If you’ve never had something, it’s hard to miss it.
I’m proud to announce nothing ruled the month for Tony, Faith, and the kids. Nothing happened. No sickness. No injuries. No shortage of food or of rain. Sadly, no shortage of trash either (as seen in the picture).
The rain hampered the last of the painting project on the house and laying of pavers around the house, kitchen and bathhouse. Water is life, so we wait.
There is a whole lot of “nothing” above. I’ll take it every time if it means no one is sick.
We’re sharing pictures of our kids on Facebook so be sure to follow us!
Thank you for your support.
Pray always. Please mention us, David and David and all those we support in Uganda. We can’t do it without His hand in our work.
God bless you all. Thank you.
David Arp,
Director MtM
