This is Africa…

Our kids were blessed during Christmas this year. We helped Tony and Faith to provide shoes, clothes, sleeping mats, blankets, toys for the younger children, and ample food for all of them to enjoy.

The kids are healthy, and that being relative to an environment that is, at the very least, rich in sickness.

Our projects are progressing nicely. The electrical wiring and water piping are complete. Plastering of the exterior and interior walls is finished. Slate was installed around the sand-block foundations to prevent damage from excessive rain. Trimming of the eaves, corners, and widows is ongoing.

Laying tile floors is next on the list. Then, we will paint to protect the structures from weathering, and drill a water well.

In the pictures you will no doubt take notice of the “lack of” what we consider normal, everyday, items such as utensils and furniture. Note the ladders and scaffolding used. They make do with very little, something that seems impossible for us.

Sometimes, I’ll mention the tools and riggings to Tony, and his response, (in his mind,) says it all. “Bro, this is Africa.”

We thank you for your generosity. We can’t do it alone. Pray for us. Pray for health for the kids and their caretakers.

Brick by brick.

God bless you all. Thank you.
